Dive into Social Science
Overview
California Social Coast Forum
March 10, 2022 - 10:00am to 12:30pm, Virtual
Workshop Description
For the last decade, every two years in February, coastal practitioners have been gathering in Charleston, South Carolina at the Social Coast Forum to highlight the importance of social sciences in coastal management. This year, instead of an in-person event in Charleston, the Forum will happen through locally-hosted gatherings! These will be spaces for participants to have deep discussions on locally relevant coastal issues, social science methods and practices, and living in coastal communities.
In coordination with NOAA and the National Estuarine Research Reserve Association (NERRA), the three California NERR Coastal Training Programs (San Francisco Bay, Elkhorn Slough, and Tijuana River) are hosting a Local Gathering for coastal professionals in California. This regional event will feature case studies from experts and interactive opportunities for connecting among coastal colleagues.
