Estuary and Ocean Science Center at SF State

Our offices and laboratory are located at San Francisco State University’s marine research facility, the Estuary & Ocean Science Center (EOS), at the Romberg Tiburon Campus. EOS hosts an active group of marine and estuarine scientists, a graduate studies program, labs, vessels, vehicles, classrooms and office space.

 

California State Parks

California Department of Parks and Recreation manages more than 280 park units, which contain the finest and most diverse collection of natural, cultural, and recreational resources to be found within California.

 

Friends of China Camp

China Camp State Park is part of the San Francisco Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. Friends of China Camp (FOCC) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that operates China Camp State Park under contract with the California Department of Parks and Recreation.

 

Smithsonian Environmental Research Center

The Smithsonian Environmental Research Center's (SERC) core mission is to track the pulse of biotic change in the estuaries and coastlines along the Pacific Coast of North America. Since 2000, our researchers have maintained a laboratory on San Francisco Bay, at San Francisco State University’s marine research and teaching facility, the Estuary & Ocean Science Center, with the San Francisco Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. 

Solano Land Trust

The Solano Land Trust (SLT) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that works to preserve farmland, ranch land, and open space in Solano County. SLT has permanently protected over 22,000 acres of natural areas and agricultural lands.

 

 

BCDC

The San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC) protects and enhances San Francisco Bay and encourages the Bay’s responsible and productive use for this and future generations.

 

NOAA

The National Estuarine Research Reserve System is a network of 29 coastal sites designated to protect and study estuarine systems. Established through the Coastal Zone Management Act, the reserves represent a partnership program between NOAA and the coastal states. NOAA provides funding and national guidance.

 

The Institute for Geographic Information Science

The Institute for Geographic Information Science (IGISc) is a research institution dedicated to the promotion and support of geographic information technology.

 

 

 

San Francisco Bay NERR Management Advisory Board

The SF Bay NERR Management Advisory Board (MAB) is a non-voting advisory body supported by Reserve staff that works together to facilitate coordination and cooperation among member agencies, aid implementation of the NERR Management Plan, and promote the work of the Reserve through developing and supporting agreements that recognize the complex network of interests at the Reserve sites and how to best support them.
